About
Jill Meier, Sculptor, Snohomish, WA
I am primarily a self taught artist. I grew up in a superb of Chicago close to Lake Michigan. My world was full of strong images of wind, ice, sun and waves. The Art Institute of Chicago sparked my early passion for the arts. I moved to the West Coast to study illustration and film at Art Center College Of Design in Pasadena, California. After a career in the film/television industry as a sound effects editor, I started sculpting while raising a family, and now sculpt in a figurative style. I am a member of the National Sculpture Society, and the American Women Artists. Recently I relocated to the Pacific Northwest with my dog, two pet goats and two cats, where I sculpts full time.
